As well as the analytical control of the presence of 3-monochloro-1,2-propanediol (3-MCPD) in soya sauces and hydrolysed vegetable protein,in accordance with Spanish Royal Decree 256/2003,Spain’s National Food Centre intervenes in the Scientific Cooperation (SCOOP) Working Group of the European Community.It does so in order to compile and collate data on the 3-MCPD levels in food products.
