1- Establishments authorised in accordance with the requirements of ANNEX III of Regulation (EC) No 853/2004
In accordance with Article 4.2 of Regulation (EC) No 853/2004.
The criteria for offering this information are those established in the “Technical specifications relating to the EU lists of authorised food establishments”.
From the information collected in the RGSEAA, the AESAN-EU application selects the establishments in order to include them in each section and category of the EU classification.
The business identification number is recognised with the initials RGSEAA, previously known as RGSA number. This number is divided into three parts or spaces. The first is composed of one or two digits and identifies the food sector; the second is a numerical field with a maximum of six digits, whose zeros to the left of the industry-specific integer do not have an identification value; and the third is composed of the identification letters of the territorial location of the establishment.
As such, the introduction or otherwise of zeros to the left in the second space of the RGSEAA number for using web search engines and their inclusion in the labelling or documents accompanying the products is inconsequential.
