On 22 November Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 on the provision of food information to consumers was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

Consequently,a Conference entirely dedicated to this Regulation will be held on 30 May at the “Ernest Lluch” conference room of the Ministry of Health,Social Services and Equality,organised jointly by the National Consumer Institute (INC) and the Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (AESAN).

The conference will look at the application and new aspects of the Regulation both from a general point of view and with respect to nutritional information.It is aimed at both members of public administrations and representatives from the public and private sectors.

Speakers from the sectors involved in the drafting and application of the Regulation will take part in the conference.
